Privacy Policy

Photo Vault: Secure Folder, previously referred to as Pic Safe in some materials, is operated by the Photo Vault: Secure Folder Team ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Photo Vault: Secure Folder mobile application (the "App"). Bundle identifier: com.pri.privacyvault.

1. Core Principle: Your Vault Content Stays on Your Device

Your private photos, videos, documents, vault folders, PIN, decoy vault content, thumbnails, intruder photos, and encrypted files are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud vault, media sync service, or remote file storage service for your vault content.

• We do not upload your vault photos, videos, documents, file names, file paths, album names, or thumbnails to our own servers.
• We do not view or review the content you store in the App.
• We do not use your vault content for advertising, profiling, or AI training.

Deleting the App may permanently remove data stored only inside the App. You are responsible for exporting or backing up files you want to keep before uninstalling the App, resetting your device, or changing devices.

2. Information Processed Locally

The App may request access to device features only when needed for App functionality:

• Photo Library: Used to import photos or videos into the vault and export selected items back to your device library when you choose to do so.
• Files and Documents: Used to import or export files that you select.
• Camera: Used for private capture and intruder photo features. Captured images are stored locally in the App unless you export or delete them.
• Biometric Authentication: Face ID or Touch ID authentication is handled by iOS. We do not receive or store your biometric templates.
• Local Security Data: PIN state, vault settings, decoy mode state, and encryption-related data are used locally to provide the App's security features.

3. Analytics and Diagnostics

The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand App reliability and basic product usage. These services may collect data that is transmitted from your device to Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostics.

Based on the current App implementation, analytics events are limited to coarse, non-content signals such as:

• App open events.
• Import or export success events, including broad source, item count, format, encryption state, and whether the vault is the main or decoy vault.
• Paywall exposure, product loading, purchase start, restore start, restore result, and entitlement state events.
• Crash reports, device/app/system diagnostics, app version, operating system information, and other technical reliability data collected by Firebase Crashlytics or Firebase SDKs.

We do not send vault content, photos, videos, file names, file paths, album names, asset identifiers, raw error messages containing user content, or private media metadata through these analytics events.

4. App Store Privacy Data Categories

To match the App's current Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and purchase-flow analytics, the App Store privacy label may disclose the following data categories as collected but not linked to your identity and not used for tracking:

• Device ID: Used for analytics and App functionality, including diagnostics.
• Purchase History: Used for analytics and App functionality related to Pro purchase and restore flows.
• Product Interaction: Used for analytics about App usage and feature flows.
• Crash Data: Used for analytics and App functionality to diagnose crashes.
• Other Diagnostic Data: Used for analytics and App functionality to improve reliability and performance.

The App does not use this data for third-party advertising or tracking across apps and websites. The App does not request IDFA access and does not include an advertising network SDK.

5. Payments and Purchases

If you purchase Pro features, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your credit card number or payment account credentials. The App may log limited purchase-flow events, such as product loading, purchase start, restore start, restore result, and entitlement state, to understand purchase reliability and App functionality.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on the following third-party services or platform providers:

• Apple App Store and StoreKit: Used for App distribution, in-app purchase processing, and restoring purchases.
• Firebase Analytics: Used for product analytics and coarse App interaction measurement.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Used for crash reporting, diagnostics, and reliability monitoring.
• iOS System Frameworks: Used for photo library access, camera access, local authentication, file access, and local storage features.

These third-party services may process data according to their own policies. Firebase is provided by Google.

7. Data Security

The App is designed to store vault content locally and protect sensitive files with encryption features. You are responsible for keeping your PIN, device passcode, and device account secure. We cannot recover a forgotten PIN or restore vault content that only exists locally on your device.

8. Your Choices and Controls

• You may import, export, or delete vault items using the App's interface.
• You may revoke camera or photo library permissions in iOS Settings.
• You may delete local App data by deleting the App from your device.
• You may manage or request refunds for App Store purchases through Apple's App Store account tools.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, SDKs, analytics, legal requirements, or App Store disclosure requirements. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when this page was last revised.
