This Privacy Policy describes how LockScreenTodo (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our iOS application and related on-device features (including the Lock Screen widget extension). By using the App, you agree to this policy.
LockScreenTodo is a local to-do list. Your tasks are stored on your device. We do not operate user accounts in the App, and we do not sell your personal information. The App is not designed to transmit your task content to our servers because we do not provide backend services for task storage in the App as shipped.
The App stores the following types of data locally to provide core functionality:
This data is persisted using Apple’s standard on-device storage mechanisms, including an App Group container shared between the main application and the Lock Screen widget extension (group.com.ly.lockscreentodo.LockScreenTodo) so widgets can display pending tasks consistent with the App.
When you add the Lock Screen widget, iOS may display a limited set of your pending tasks on the Lock Screen according to your widget configuration. Widget rendering is performed on your device by iOS and the widget extension; we do not receive a copy of your Lock Screen.
If you grant notification permission and use due dates, the App may schedule local notifications on your device to remind you when a task is due. Notification content is composed on your device (for example using the task title). These are not push notifications from our servers.
If you choose to use Siri or the Shortcuts app with supported intents, the system may pass the text you provide (such as a task title) to the App so it can create a task locally. That processing occurs through Apple’s App Intents framework; we do not operate a separate cloud service for this feature in the App as shipped.
The App registers a custom URL scheme (lockscreentodo) to support on-device actions such as marking a task complete when opened from a supported link. Handling occurs locally on your device.
Your tasks remain on your device unless you delete them in the App or remove the App (subject to iOS data retention behavior). Uninstalling the App may erase locally stored App data depending on iOS version and settings. We do not control iCloud Backup or device backup behavior; those are managed by Apple and your device settings.
The App does not require registration. We do not ask for your contacts, and the App does not continuously collect precise GPS location for task features as implemented in the codebase.
This policy is written to reflect an App that stores tasks locally and uses Apple system frameworks (for example UserNotifications, WidgetKit, App Intents). If we integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs in a future version, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain appropriate consent before collecting data.
Apple may provide aggregated App Store analytics and crash diagnostics to developers through Apple’s own systems; such data is governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through the App in a way that concerns you, contact us using the method below and we will take appropriate steps.
If you use the App outside your home country, your information is processed on your device and through Apple’s operating system services in accordance with your device settings and Apple’s terms and policies.
We rely on Apple’s platform security controls to protect on-device data. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device (for example passcode, Face ID, and avoiding untrusted configuration profiles).
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information (for example access, deletion, or opt-out of certain processing). Because the App is designed to process and store tasks locally, many requests can be fulfilled directly on your device by deleting data in the App or adjusting iOS permissions. For statutory requests directed to us, contact us using the information below.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires additional consent.
