User Content & Acceptable Use Policy

This User Content & Acceptable Use Policy (“Content Policy”) explains rules for text and other information you enter in LockScreenTodo (“the App”) and how that content may appear through on-device features such as the Lock Screen widget, notifications, and Siri/Shortcuts. It supplements our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Important: The App stores tasks on your device. You control what you type. Avoid entering highly sensitive information (for example passwords, government ID numbers, or confidential work secrets) into task titles or notes fields, especially if you use Lock Screen widgets or notifications that may be visible to others.

1. Your content

“User content” means text and related task metadata you create or edit in the App (for example task titles, optional due dates, priority, and importance flags). You are responsible for your user content and for ensuring you have the rights to enter it.

2. Where your content may appear

Depending on your settings and iOS features you enable, user content may be displayed or spoken in contexts including:

Inside the App’s lists and editors.
On the Lock Screen or other widget surfaces supported by the App’s widget extension.
In local notifications when you use due-date reminders (notification body may include the task title).
Through Siri, Shortcuts, or other system integrations when you explicitly invoke them to add or interact with tasks.

These displays are rendered on your device under your control. You should consider visibility in public or shared environments when choosing what to store.

3. Prohibited content

You agree not to use the App to create, store, or distribute content that:

Violates applicable law or promotes illegal activity.
Infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person.
Is harassing, hateful, discriminatory, violent, or sexually explicit in a way that violates App Store standards.
Contains malware instructions, unauthorized credentials, or instructions intended to compromise systems or accounts.
Impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation.

Because the App does not provide a public feed or user-to-user sharing as a core feature, enforcement primarily relies on platform rules, user reports where applicable, and App Store review. We may take action if we become aware of prohibited use that violates our Terms or legal obligations.

4. No monitoring obligation

We do not routinely review your private task list. We may access information only as needed to comply with law, enforce our agreements, protect safety, or debug with your consent where appropriate.

5. Intellectual property

You retain rights to your user content. You must not enter content you do not have the right to use. Our name, branding, and the App’s software are protected by intellectual property laws.

6. Third-party services

If you connect the App with Apple system features (Widgets, Notifications, Siri, Shortcuts), Apple’s terms and privacy practices also apply to those system services.

7. Changes

We may update this Content Policy to reflect product or legal changes. The effective date above indicates the latest version.
