This policy explains how StayCount: Schengen & Tax handles information you choose to use in the app.
Local storage and no account
The app does not require an account. Travel dates, country entries, rule facts, notes, attachment records, and the app-lock preference are stored in the app's local storage on your device. The app does not operate a server for this content.
Offline calculations
Core ledger and rule calculations work offline. The results are planning support based on the information and rule facts you enter; they are not immigration, legal, tax, or financial advice.
Attachments
The app receives an attachment only when you select it through the system file picker. Selected attachments are stored locally with the related stay. Review what you choose to attach, especially where a file contains sensitive information.
Optional app lock
If you enable App Lock, the app asks iOS to authenticate you with device-owner authentication. The app receives the authentication result, not biometric templates or biometric images.
Encrypted backup and export
You may initiate an encrypted backup or export. A password-encrypted backup can include ledger data and selected attachments, and you choose its destination through the system file exporter. The app cannot recover a forgotten backup password. A copy you save or share is subject to the practices of the destination or recipient you choose.
Purchases
StayCount Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The app uses verified entitlement information returned by Apple to determine access to paid features. Apple processes purchase-related information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain on the device until you delete individual content, delete travel data in the app, remove the app and its data, or replace data through a restore. Backup files remain where you saved them until you delete them there. We cannot delete copies stored outside the app.
Advertising and analytics
The app does not use advertising or analytics services for your travel content.
Changes and contact
