These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Deposit Defender ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, lawful purposes on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the App Store terms.
Deposit Defender helps renters document property condition for move-in and move-out inspections. Features may include rental projects, room-by-room checklists, photos, notes, issue tags, severity labels, local storage, PDF report preview, and PDF export.
The App is a documentation tool. It does not provide legal advice, financial advice, tenancy advice, insurance advice, or a guarantee that a landlord, property manager, court, mediator, or other party will accept a report as evidence. You are responsible for reviewing reports and seeking qualified advice when needed.
The App may offer a one-time Pro unlock through Apple In-App Purchase using StoreKit, including the product identifier depositdefender.pro.unlock. Pro features may include full PDF export and expanded evidence/report functionality.
You are responsible for the property details, notes, photos, reports, and other content you create, store, export, or share using the App. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and to obtain any permissions needed before photographing private property, people, documents, or restricted areas.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy and User Content & Acceptable Use Policy.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms periodically. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every rental, legal, or evidentiary situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deposit Defender Team is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, deposits, rent, profits, or opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
These Terms remain effective until terminated. You may terminate them by uninstalling the App. We may terminate or restrict access if required by law, Apple policy, or violations of these Terms.
