Privacy Policy
This policy explains how LivePhoto Safe handles information when you select and protect photos or Live Photos.
On-device processing
Selected media is analyzed and processed on your device using Apple frameworks, including Photos, Vision, AVFoundation, and Core Image. LivePhoto Safe does not operate a server that receives your photos, videos, audio, detected regions, or processed copies.
Photo Library access
The app asks for access when you choose a Live Photo and when you ask to save a protected copy. It accesses media you select through Apple's system interfaces. Your permission choices can be changed in iOS Settings.
What the app processes
Depending on the selected media and your choices, the app may process image pixels, paired Live Photo video, embedded audio, faces, text, barcodes, and metadata. Detection results and manual mask selections are used to prepare the protected copy on the device.
Temporary files
The app creates protected temporary working files while importing, analyzing, rendering, and verifying media. Session files are removed when they are no longer required by the workflow. Copies you save to Photos or share to another destination remain under your control and the destination's practices.
Metadata, audio, and verification
Protected output is rebuilt from decoded media with a limited metadata set rather than copying source metadata. The app removes source location and other privacy-sensitive metadata. When mute audio is selected, the rebuilt Live Photo omits its audio track. Output is reopened and checked before it can be shared or saved. No technical process can guarantee that every visible or contextual privacy risk has been identified, so review the result before sharing.
Purchases
The app offers a non-consumable Lifetime Access purchase through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes payment and purchase-account information under Apple's terms and privacy practices. The app receives verified entitlement information needed to unlock paid access; it does not receive your full payment-card details.
Local preference data
A local device preference records whether the included free protected export has been used. The app does not require an account and does not operate a cloud account system.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The current version does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs. The app does not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Remove saved protected copies from Photos or other destinations where you placed them. Removing the app deletes data stored inside its app container, subject to iOS behavior and any copies or purchase records maintained separately by Apple or another destination.
Children
The app is a general-purpose privacy utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a developer-operated server.
Regional privacy rights
Because the app does not operate an account or media server, the LivePhoto Safe Team generally cannot access, retrieve, correct, or delete media stored on your device. For a privacy question or request concerning information you believe we control, contact us below.
