Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Screenshot Stitcher ScrollShot Team ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Screenshot Stitcher ScrollShot (the "App"). The App helps you import screenshots or screen recordings, create long screenshots, edit sensitive areas, export files, and optionally save results to Photos.
On-device design. The App does not require an account, does not run a developer-operated backend for core features, and does not upload your photos, videos, recordings, generated long screenshots, or edits to our servers.
1. Information Processed On Your Device
- Photos and videos you select: With your permission, the App can read selected images and videos from your Photos library so it can import source material for stitching. The App may display thumbnails and metadata needed to show your recent media in the app.
- Screen recordings created with the broadcast extension: If you start recording through the App's ReplayKit broadcast extension, video frames are written into the App Group container on your device so the main App can process them. Audio sample buffers are not used by the extension.
- Generated outputs and edits: Long screenshots, crop choices, brush marks, mosaic areas, watermark settings, export format, and quality settings are processed locally. Exported files may be stored temporarily, shared through the iOS share sheet, or saved to Photos when you choose that action.
- Local history and settings: The App stores processing history, source names, output file paths, language/theme choices, export preferences, and related settings locally using app storage, files, and UserDefaults. Some recording settings and diagnostic entries are stored in the App Group container so the main App and broadcast extension can coordinate.
- Purchase entitlement status: The App uses Apple's StoreKit APIs to check whether Pro features are unlocked through monthly, yearly, or lifetime products.
2. Photos Access and Optional Deletion
The App requests Photos access to read the items you choose and to save generated images when you tap Save To Photos. iOS may let you grant limited access to selected items. If you enable the setting to remove the source after a successful export, the App may request read-write Photos permission and delete the original selected Photos asset only after the export or save action succeeds. You can recover deleted Photos items through Apple's Recently Deleted album when available.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect account registration data, contact lists, precise location, advertising identifiers, payment card numbers, or your imported media on our own servers for the App's core functionality. The current implementation does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.
4. Purchases and Subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may process payment, tax, fraud prevention, refund, and subscription management information under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple. The App receives limited StoreKit transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock paid features and restore purchases.
5. Sharing and System Services
When you use the iOS share sheet, save to Photos, App Store purchase flow, or system permission prompts, information may be handled by Apple or by the destination app or service you select. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
6. Retention and Deletion
Local files, recordings, settings, and history remain on your device until you delete them, clear cache, remove source media, uninstall the App, or use iOS storage controls. Temporary export files may be removed by the App or by the operating system. Because the core media processing happens locally, we generally cannot access or delete media that remains only on your device.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers for this App.
8. Regional Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, China, and other regions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or objection to certain processing of personal information. For information stored only on your device, use the App and iOS controls to manage or delete it. You may contact us for privacy questions using the email below.
9. Security
We use Apple's platform security features and local app containers to help protect App data. No app or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for controlling access to your device and for reviewing content before sharing exported files.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes or legal requirements evolve. The updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
