Content Policy

Scope

This policy explains standards for content you create or store in Home Inventory, including item names, notes, photos, labels, and exported files.

Private, Local Content

Home Inventory is a private utility app. It does not provide a public social feed. Content is stored locally by default. If you enable Shared Inventory, non-sensitive content you select may be synchronized through a private CloudKit share and made available to people you invite.

Prohibited Content and Uses

You may not use the app to create, store, export, or distribute content that:

• Violates laws or regulations.
• Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Contains child sexual abuse material or sexual exploitation content.
• Promotes violence, terrorism, or credible threats.
• Contains malware, fraud schemes, or deceptive content.

Photos, Labels, and Exports

If you add photos, generate QR labels, or export CSV/PDF files, you are responsible for how that content is used and shared. Ensure you have rights to all images and text you include.

Shared Inventory

Share owners and participants are responsible for content they add or change and for choosing trusted collaborators. Do not place sensitive, unlawful, or confidential information in a shared inventory unless every participant is authorized to receive it. Owners may stop sharing, and participants may leave a share, subject to Apple's CloudKit behavior.

Lock Screen / Device Visibility

If device-level previews, screenshots, exported files, backups, printed labels, or shared files are visible to others, sensitive inventory details may be seen by those people. Sensitive Box access controls apply inside the app and do not control content after it is exported, printed, saved, screenshotted, or shared. Use device privacy controls and sharing settings accordingly.

Enforcement

We may restrict use of the app as required by law or platform policy if serious misuse is identified.
