Audio privacy guide
Check what your Live Photo recorded in the background
A short Live Photo can carry names, voices, a private conversation, or environmental clues that are absent from the still image.
When muting helps
- A family member says a child's name
- A work screen or conversation is audible nearby
- A home, school, clinic, or event can be identified by sound
- The visual memory matters but the audio does not
How the protected copy works
When mute audio is enabled, LivePhoto Safe rebuilds the paired motion resource without an audio track. Its output verification checks that the result matches the chosen audio policy before saving or sharing is enabled.
Review the visual motion as well
Muting does not remove a face, address, screen, reflection, or location clue visible during motion. Combine audio review with masks and metadata removal.
